Saved lives, backups and help
Play and keep lives without a purchase or email unlock. Saved records stay in your browser on your device.
Do I need to pay or enter an email?
No. The available local keepsake and export features are included. No account or game-server session is needed.
Where is my life saved?
The game stores supported saves, archives, and preferences in this browser profile. Other devices and browsers do not automatically receive them. The local preview and the public domain also have separate browser storage. Avoid private browsing for records you want to keep, and download backups regularly.
How do I download a backup?
Open “1in8b.me · saves & details” in the game footer, then choose “Download backup”. This downloads the supported records from this browser. Keep the file somewhere safe; it may contain text you entered.
How do I restore a backup?
In “1in8b.me · saves & details”, choose “Restore backup” and select a backup exported by this edition. Download your current backup first because matching local records may be replaced. Only restore a file you trust.
How do I move to another device?
Download a backup, transfer that file yourself, then restore it in the destination browser at the site address you want to use. Server transfer codes, transfer links, and automatic cross-device syncing are unavailable.
Who can see a memorial?
Memorials saved by this edition stay in your browser. They are not published to a shared website. Other visitors cannot use a link to view them. You can share an available downloaded keepsake yourself. Included sample memorials and stories are fictional examples.
I cleared site data or lost my device
Restore an exported backup if you have one. Without a backup, local records may be permanently lost. The operator has no server copy to recover.
